Beth Din Ruling from the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada The Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada (UOR), often called by its Hebrew name, Agudath Harabonim or Agudas Harabonim, was established in 1901 in the United States and is the oldest organization of Orthodox Rabbis in the United States. Among the well-known leaders of the Agudath were Rabbi Moshe Feinstein and Rabbi Tsvi Meir Ginsberg. When any Beth Din sends out a ruling, ALWAYS make sure that it has the signer’s name or title and the official stamp of the Beth Din. There are many fake and forged documents around. Likewise, if your Hebrew is not that good, or if you are sending the ruling to a person who might not read or understand Hebrew fully, ask the Beth Din to always translate the documents into English so that they can be understood, similar to letter below. A Kosher Beth Din will do that, and send a copy to all the parties. The letter below was written by Rabbi Tsvi Meir Ginsberg and sent to all the parties.
